On the Seventh Day of Christmas
Hey y'all! Sorry I'm late again, but I'm back with the ultimate sugary treat: meringues!! These bad boys are a little daunting, but they're not as hard as they look and they taste amazing - I'm not sugar coating! *Awkward chuckle* *finger guns* *shamefulness for my terrible puns*
Anyways, here we go - get out your beaters! Open up your piping bags!!!
Ingredients
-2 Large Egg Whites
-1/8 tsp cream of tartar
-1 cup sugar (the recipe calls for 1/2 cup, but we always need WAY more)
Recipe
-Preheat oven to 225 degrees Fahrenheit. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
-Beat egg whites and cream of tartar together with an electric mixer until mixture is foamy.
-Add sugar a spoonful at a time, beating the entire time, until the mixture starts to form peaks when you pull the mixer up. (Don't pull the mixer up while it's running 😲)
-Transfer meringue to a pastry bag and pipe in the shapes you would like. You can also use food coloring to make it more interesting 👌
-Bake in upper and lower thirds of oven for around an hour or an hour and a half.
-Take out and enjoy!!!
I hope y'all try this awesome recipe, it tastes good and is super fun (and a tiny bit messy) to make, and they will be gone within at least 2 days. Love y'all!
