Chicago

Imagine stepping out of a train station, looking up, and seeing this.

Yup, I'm back! I have to say, the vacation was AMAZING. I had so much fun, and I hope to share some of what we did with you guys!

The first day of our trip other than driving to Chicago was exploring the city. It was amazing, and I could not believe how big the city was!! The first thing we did was go up the Willis Tower. The lines were long, but...

Then we went through Millennium Park. It was really artsy!

After that we walked down to the edge of Lake Michigan.

It was super relaxing! After walking all around the huge downtown, we were ready for a break, and it felt great to just sit down.

But after that, we had to walk all the way back across the city, because we needed to catch the train, so we got up and started walking back, stopping only once to get Starbucks. (I know, so basic XD) We waited only a little bit for our train to start, and then we were on our way out of the city. We took a direct train this time, so it only took about 15 minutes to get back.

We picked up my mom from her piano pedagogy conference and headed a little ways down the road to a restaurant called Giordano's, and we ended the day with some of the best pizza I've ever had and a walk around the campus of Wheaton College.

What did you guys think of the first day of my adventure? What was your favorite picture?

So long!
