Mitchell, SD

Well, let's just say that my mom might need therapy before she can talk about her experience at this KOA.

We left Chicago pretty early, wanting to get to our next destination quickly. Illinois was soon gone past our windows; then Wisconsin, then Minnesota (I never want to see a cornfield again), and then finally South Dakota arrived, and we arrived at our campground. We unpacked our camper for the first time, moved in, and ate dinner - tacos/fajitas!

We left our campsite to go see what Mitchell, South Dakota is famous for - the Corn Palace. Like I said, I don't really want to see corn ever again, and there was a ton of corn in this place (well, it is called the corn palace). The only impressive thing about this place was that they redid the whole front and side of this building (tying corn on to make those designs) every year, and every time with a different design.

After that, there wasn't much to do, so we went back to our campsite. However, we quickly figured out the fault of this KOA: the bathrooms smelled, were old fashioned, and the showers were backing up and coating the whole floor in dirty water. GROSS! It was quite horrible.

Then, it being quite late, we went to bed.

Sorry this day wasn't quite as exciting as yesterday, but I want you to get the full experience of what we did!

See ya!
